Drop ship to Distribution Warehouse

The challenge

Our customer required shipment to its primary warehouse in order to perform inspection of product released by Bio-Techne (formerly Bionostics). The bulk of this product was then transshipped to a separate distribution location, resulting in additional shipping costs.

The idea

Bio-Techne (formerly Bionostics) proposed implementation of a QC release program whereby only finished good samples would be sent for inspection. This would eliminate the secondary shipment of a large quantity of finished goods.

The solution

Bio-Techne (formerly Bionostics) now drop-ships inventory directly to our customer’s distribution location, resulting in significant cost savings. Matt ensures accurate and timely shipping of both the finished goods samples for approval and inventory for distribution. This requires attention to detail and process to ensure that each customer receives the necessary paperwork to meet its particular incoming requirements.
