Booklet Label

The challenge

A customer was challenged with managing numerous small volume SKUs to accommodate international language requirements. Bionostics was tasked with finding a way to consolidate these products that would result in lower production costs without negatively impacting end-user utilization.

The idea

Jerry investigated various label alternatives that could support the large amount of text necessary to support multiple languages while ensuring manufacturability on Bio-Techne (formerly Bionostics) automated equipment. The typical "fan-fold" labels were not suitable from either end-user or production perspectives. Additional investigation yielded a novel solution that would meet both these requirements.

The solution

Working with one of our experienced printing vendors, Jerry identified a multi-page/booklet label which was ideal to support the large amount of text required but was not cumbersome to the end-user. Jerry then devised a set of modifications to our filling and labeling equipment to support the multi-page label.
